1. The Locator requires a SIM card - like
that used on a mobile phone - to enable you to send instructions
and receive positions from the tracking device
2. The GPS antenna attached to the
device allows it to know where it is using the latitude /
longitude format. The GSM modem within the device then sends
this information, like a regular text message, to the monitoring
service or web-based tracking software.
3. You then access the tracking service
you have selected to then view current positions or a history
trail of where the device has been.
